Ichigo battles against his inner hollow for control while the vizard struggle to keep his berserk body in check. Ichigo and his inner hollow both use their final releases and fight, but Ichigo proves to be no match for his hollow self and his sword is shattered. After a series of flashbacks to previous foes he has fought, Ichigo regains his resolve and snatches away his inner hollow's sword.
